My name is Starrene Rocque, and I am a formerly burned out, New York City-based journalist who looked toward fitness to supplement therapy after years of career stress, layoffs, burnout and near nervous breakdowns.
Through fitness I discovered a passion for pole dancing, strength training, and much more. There was even a Capoeira phase at one point. I love experiment with fun and challenging ways to get and stay fit mentally and physically, and want to share my findings in a way that is practical and down-to-Earth.
